Earlier, SMNI- the media company owned by the controversial religious leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, organized a presidential debate.

Among the presidential candidates who attended the debate are Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Leody de Guzman, Norberto Gonzales and Ernesto Abella.

Apparently, four presidential candidates (Vice President Leni Robredo, Manny Pacquiao, Ping Lacson, and Isko Moreno) did not attend the said debate.

According to Moreno’s campaign manager Lito Banayo, there are only a few viewers of the said debate.

“Meron ba nanonood sa SMNI? Di ba? Hindi naman siya major outlet- I mean, I’m sorry, I have to say this magalit na ‘yung magagalit sa akin dun sa SMNI but that is the reality,” Banayo said.

He further explained that Moreno had something scheduled to do on the said day of the debate that they could not cancel,

Some of the glimpses of the SMNI debate have garnered millions of views on social media.

On the other hand, among the highlights of the debate was the questioning of retired political science professor Clarita Carlos in which she asked the candidates about their future plans regarding the foreign policy that they will implement in case they win.

Other presidential candidates who did not attend the SMNI presidential debate have yet to issue any statement following their non-attendance on the said debate.
