GREEN DAY – The punk rock trio announced the cancellation of their concert in Moscow, Russia on May 29.

It was in the early hours of February 24 when Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war against Ukraine via his State of the Nation Address.

In his statement, Putin believes that the leading members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) particularly the US was threatening to take over Russia.

NATO is an alliance of European and North American countries established to promote peace.

Led by the US, NATO- aimed to protect Western European countries from the threat of the Soviet Union and combat the spread of communism after World War II.

Meanwhile, punk rock trio Green Day announced the cancellation of their upcoming concert in Moscow, Russia.

Apparently, they did not disclose the reason for the cancellation of their show but it might have something to do with the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Green Day is an American rock band formed in the East Bay of California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt.

Also part of the group is drummer Tré Cool, who replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer.

The trio also popularized the hit songs; Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, Basket Case, Wake Me up When September Ends, Good Riddance, Holiday, Brain Stew and to name a few.
