ARNOLD CLAVIO – The Kapuso broadcast journalist criticized the camp of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos for using a government vehicle during their campaign motorcade.
BBM is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election
Together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
On Monday, February 7, his camp held a campaign motorcade in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
According to Arnold “Igan” Clavio, his camp used a government-owned vehicle in their campaigning.
This prompted him to air his frustration with the alleged use of a government vehicle in a campaign motorcade.
On Instagram, Arnold Clavio did not mince words while criticizing the camp of BBM for using a vehicle with a red plate number.
Clavio reminded that Marcos’ campaigning using a government vehicle may be against the election code.
He stressed, “ignorance of the law excuses no one.”
Meanwhile, the camp of Marcos denied that they have committed any violation with the election code.
“Violation of what? We were just invited by the good congresswoman of San Jose del Monte and good mayor, [and] official campaign period starts today,” said Atty. Vic Rodriguez, spokesperson of Marcos Jr.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is currently investigating the incident.
