Update on Result of Senator Ping Lacson’s 1st COVID-19 Test

SENATOR PING LACSON – The result of the first COVID-19 test of presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo Lacson was released.

Recently, one of the sons of Sen. Ping Lacson, his driver, and his household helper tested positive for COVID-19. The cases of coronavirus in Metro Manila are increasing once again.

The Senator who is one of the presidential aspirants in the Election 2022 also took a COVID-19 test. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he took another swab test on Thursday while the result of his earlier test has yet to be released.

Recently, the result of Sen. Ping Lacson’s COVID-19 test last January 4 was released. According to the report, the Senator tested positive for the virus. He stressed that he has already informed all those he had physical contact with last January 3 about his test result.

Sen. Lacson is grateful to God that none of those he had physical contact with is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. He stressed that the wearing of face masks really helps.

Sen. Ping Lacson is the second senator to test positive for COVID-19 this year 2022. Previously, his colleague in the upper chamber of the legislative body, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, also confirmed that he tested positive for the virus.

Prior to Sen. Gatchalian testing positive for COVID-19, his brother, Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian was confirmed positive for the virus.

Metro Manila is currently under Alert Level 3 following the surge in the daily cases of COVID-19 recorded in several cities. There are limitations now on the mobility of unvaxxed individuals.

Some cabinet members lauded the move of the Metro Manila mayors to temporarily limit the movements of the unvaccinated individuals to fight the spread of COVID-19. They want to extend it nationwide but President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has yet to comment on it.
