Sharing a photo on Instagram, Pia shared her experience during her stay in the United Kingdom.

According to her, she tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) even though she had been fully vaccinated & already received her booster shot. She also said that she completed her flu and pneumonia vaccines as well.

Pia added that she “got all the symptoms” such as sore throat, fever, runny nose, body pain, cough, & lost sense of taste and smell.

It’s not like a regular cold or flu that goes away after a few days. I’ve never been sick for this long, which lasted more than a week,” Pia wrote.

Fortunately, she shared that the “worst is through” as she’s one day away from completing her isolation along with her sister Sarah, who also caught the coronavirus disease.

Thankfully, both of them have already tested negative.

Urging the public to take the virus seriously and not put their guards down, she told her followers that “COVID is so real”. According to her, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 didn’t stop a person from getting the coronavirus but it helped him/her overcome it.

Pia also slammed those who continued to break health and safety protocols despite experiencing coronavirus symptoms and testing positive with the virus already.

She shared that a lot of people were already getting sick and urged the public to “not be selfish”.

Please follow health & safety protocols,” Pia wrote. “Meron pa diyan, may symptoms na & have the means to get tested pero ayaw nilang ma-confirm na may COVID sila, tas lalabas pa rin. Naku, konsensiya niyo na lang yan. Konting personal accountability, please.”
