On Thursday, Mayor Sara said that she will not team up with Moreno in this year’s elections. According to her, she’s loyal to her UniTeam with Marcos.

Mayor Sara said in a statement that she truly appreciated the love of her supporters for her and she didn’t wish to impose upon them her choice for president.

Despite limitations and challenges she’s facing, Mayor Sara said that the groundwork for her candidacy as vice president in the 2022 elections was “moving well” with the help of her volunteers and supporters nationwide, who gave her fortitude, strength, and inspiration.

She also said that while she continued to respect their decision to support another presidential candidate, it’s with a heavy heart that she can’t be one with them on the matter.

According to her, it’s important for her to honor her word and she knew that all have the same dreams for the Philippines.

Mayor Sara’s camp said that a certain group introduced themselves as purveyors of “ISSA” or the “Isko-Sara” tandem.

They were accused of trying to drive a wedge between Bongbong and Mayor Sara. But the movement backfired instead of gaining traction as Mayor Sara’s camp said that the proposed “ISSA” tandem was the brainchild of a supposed “political mercenary”.

Moreno’s camp has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
