Former senator JV Ejercito contracts COVID-19
JV EJERCITO – The former senator tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.

A lot of personalities such as celebrities, elites, and even politicians were infected with the coronavirus as well.
Among those who contracted the dreaded virus is no less than former senator JV Ejercito.
The ex-senator who’s seeking a Senate comeback in 2022 took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he made the announcement.
Ejercito is the latest politician to have acquired the dreaded disease as it spike anew in the country.
According to him, he was not required for oxygen support but given “antibiotics, lots of Vitamin C [and] melatonin.”
“Kung omicron ito, mabilis ang infection pero mabilis din nawala ang sintomas,” he said.
He also encouraged the public to continue wearing face masks.
Meanwhile, Omicron is said to be the most transmissible coronavirus variant, so far, according to experts.
As of posting, there are 14 cases of the Omicron variant in the Philippines.
COVID-19 continues to spike in the country. In fact, there are 5,434 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of today, January 4, 2022.
On the other hand, 18 new deaths have been recorded, raising the total number of fatalities to 51,604 while 611 additional recoveries have been logged.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Philippines has confirmed over 2.86 million COVID-19 cases. Currently, there are 29,809 active cases.
