The DENR said that only fully vaccinated visitors will be allowed to enter the dolomite beach.

Reuel Sorilla, ground commander at Manila Baywalk dolomite beach, said that unvaccinated visitors were prohibited from entering the man-made beach.

Citing the guidelines set by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases), Sorilla said that children 11 years old and below weren’t allowed to enter the said beach.

Also, Sorilla said that they would strictly impose online registration for visitors a day before the scheduled visit. Those who wanted to visit the man-made beach can register here.

We advise online registrants to come on time for their scheduled visit as everyone will be required to leave the beach area upon the lapse of the one-hour period for the next batch,” Sorilla said.

The DENR said that walk-in visitors must bring their COVID-19 vaccination cards to be presented at the entrance gate. Also, visitors were required to follow health protocols such as wearing of face masks.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources also advised visitors not to bring their pets with them. Drinking, eating, and taking dolomite sand from the beach were prohibited as well.

Also, Sorilla reminded the public that swimming was still not allowed on the man-made beach.

Data from the Manila Bay Coordinating Office showed that the Baywalk area registered a decrease in coliform level in all its 9 stations.
