Some netizens defend Gonzaga sisters after after they received criticism for supporting BBM
GONZAGA SISTERS – Some netizens defended Alex and Toni Gonzaga after they received criticism for their connection to the presidential aspirant and former senator Bongbong Marcos.
BBM is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
The two have been in different parts of the country, conducting caravan in preparation for next year’s poll.
Their tandem is considered one of the controversial team up in Philippine politics.
A lot of personalities have already expressed their support to the tandem of BBM and Sara and among those are the Gonzaga sisters.
Recently, some Twitter users urged netizens to boycott the Gonzaga sisters by unsubscribing to their social media channels because of supporting Marcos.
However, not all netizens were convinced to boycott the two. In fact, there were some who defended them.
“IT’S THEIR CHOICE. WALA KAYONG PAKI. bitter niyo,” said a certain Angelyn Retoriano.
Another netizen named Angelu Peru noted: “Daming alam it’s their choice. Kala ko ba may FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION? Freedom to choose. Iba iba po tayo ng political views Kung sino gustong suportahan. Basta we still support BBM like Gonzaga’s sister.”
Alex and Toni Gonzaga have yet to issue any response with regards to the criticism they are receiving from the netizens.
They are also yet to confirm whether their family will support Marcos Jr. in 2022. But previously, Paul Soriano, the husband of Toni, joined the Uniteam caravan of BBM and Sara in Laguna.
