Bobet Vidanes is said to be running for councilor in the 2022 elections
BEBOT VIDANES – The former director of It’s Showtime and now creative producer of TV5’s Lunch Out Loud, will run for councilor in the coming elections.
Many showbiz personalities are trying their luck in the upcoming elections. One of their primary reasons for venturing into politics is to expand their platform in helping others.
Among those who recently filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) are Bobby Andrews, Angelu de Leon, Raffy Tulfo, Ejay Falcon and to name a few.
Adding to the list of celebrities-turned-election hopefuls is no less than Bobet Vidanes.
According to PEP.ph, the director will run for councilor in Pililla, Rizal under the slate of incumbent Mayor Dan Masinsin.
However, in an interview with the entertainment press, he did not mention his candidacy.
To recall, it was in November 2020 when Bobet Vidanes left the ABS-CBN noontime program, It’s Showtime to transfer to TV5’s Lunch Out Loud.
During the first anniversary of the said program, he revealed the primary reason why he left It’s Showtime.
Meanwhile, aside from Bobet Vidanes, also venturing into politics is dancer and LOL choreographer, Mariposa.
Mariposa whose real name is Rovielyn Cabigquez rose to fame via the defunct noontime show, Wowowee hosted by Willie Revillame.
She will run as an independent candidate for councilor in the fourth district of Meycauyan City, Bulacan.
Their candidacy is said to be the reason why they will not appear on Lunch Out Loud when the campaign period starts.
