PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar airs statement regarding police chase incident involving Jake Cuenca
POLICE CHASE – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar slammed actor Jake Cuenca over the incident.
On Saturday night, October 9, Jake- onboard his vehicle, was chased by police officers conducting a buy-bust operation in Mandaluyong after the actor’s car allegedly collided with the vehicle used by police.
Eastern Police District (EPD) director Police Brigadier General Matthew Baccay said the actor allegedly did not stop so the police chased him until he reached Shaw Boulevard which is already part of Pasig City.
Baccay confirmed that there was also a stray bullet victim that night due to the incident. He said the police had to disable the vehicle Jake was driving so they fired a gun, causing a stray bullet to hit a Grab driver.
Meanwhile, PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar aired a statement following the police chase incident involving the actor.

In the first part of his statement, he expressed his apology to the Grab driver hit by a stray bullet. He assured that PNP will shoulder all the medical expenses of the victim particularly his hospitalization until his recovery.
Then, he shared that police personnel involved in the incident are now being placed under restrictive custody while the investigation is being conducted.
The PNP chief also lambasted Jake Cuenca for acting like in a teleserye. He stressed that the actor would be held accountable for the incident.
Jake Cuenca has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.
