The mysterious death of Jonson has reached the Office of the President and Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed in a virtual press briefing with Malacañang reporters that the president has ordered a probe into the artist’s death.

When asked if Duterte was aware of the circumstances following the death of the artist, Roque said: “Yes and he has instructed the criminal justice system of the country to accord the victim justice.”

But according to him, the investigation must first take its course in order to find out what truly happened.

After her body was found, the authorities conducted an initial investigation at the scene. Police found cocaine inside their room.

Later on, Julian Ongpin- the son of billionaire Roberto Ongpin tested positive for a drug test. Jonson was positive for cocaine as well as disclosed by PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar.

Ongpin is now facing charges related to illegal drugs but due to pending investigation, he was released by the La Union Prosecutor’s Office.

Following his release, he was put under the immigration lookout list as requested by Jonson’s mother to the Department of Justice.

Sally Jonson, the mother of Bree, believed that her daughter “fought for her life” and she did not pass away by taking her own life.
