No meeting transpired yet between Sara Duterte and Bongbong Marcos in Cebu, according to spokespersons of both politicians.
Spokespersons of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said that no meeting transpired yet between them.
This, even though both Sara and Bongbong arrived in Cebu on Friday.
Spokespersons of Sara and Bongbong were asked if they met on Friday.
Sara Duterte’s spokesperson Liloan, Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco said “None today” in a text message, while Bongbong Marcos’ spokesperson Vic Rodriguez told GMA News Online “No, tonight no. But both of them are there.”
When Asked if Sara Duterte will meet Bongbong Marcos in Cebu, Frasco said that she invited Mayor Sara to attend the inauguration of their new Port in Liloan and to attend their League of Municipalities of the Philippines Cebu General Assembly.

Mayor Sara announced in a Facebook post that she arrived in Cebu City and also shared photos of her wearing a green “Sara All 2022” hoodie. According to her, she went to Cebu to talk to her cousin, Cebu 5th District Board Member Red Duterte.
“Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat. Confirmed po ang aking pagbisita sa Cebu. Kausap ko ngayon ang aking pinsan na si Cebu 5th District Board Member Red Duterte. Maraming salamat,” Mayor Sara wrote.
Christina’s husband Cebu Representative Duke Frasco also shared photos of Bongbong Marcos’ arrival in Cebu City in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon.
Bongbong Marcos’ chief of staff, lawyer Victor Rodriguez, confirmed that both of them didn’t hold a meeting on Friday night.
Sara Duterte filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for her reelection as Davao City mayor last October 2, while Bongbong Marcos filed his certificate of candidacy for president last October 6.
