Here’s why Michele Gumabao joined Mocha Uson in party list
MICHELE GUMABAO – The volleyball player finally broken her silence to answer those questioning her as she teams up with Mocha Uson for a party-list group.
The volleyball star is joining the list of sports personalities seeking government posts in the 2022 national elections.
Two weeks ago, Michele together with Mocha filed their certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) as they represent the “Mothers for Change” party list.
Apparently, her announcement to run with Mocha earned negative comments from the netizens.
But in an interview via CNN Philippines, she explained why she joined the electoral race under the “Mocha” party list.

She also gave a message about the first nominee, Mocha Uson, who was even tagged as the “Queen of Fake News” on social media.
Before she decided to enter politics, Michele Gumabao already made a name for herself in the world of volleyball.
From 2012 to 2013, she was a co-captain of the De La Salle University women’s volleyball team, the Lady Spikers. She’s also the camp director of the Alaska Volleyball Powercamp.
Her last volleyball stint was via Creamline Cool Smashers in March 2018 for the Premier Volleyball League alongside Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, and her former college teammate, Mel Gohing. The team won its first PVL championship in the Reinforced Conference in July 2018.
Aside from volleyball, Michele Gumabao also ventured into the world pageantry. In 2018, she was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Globe during the Binibining Pilipinas beauty contest.
