MICHELE GUMABAO – Netizens react to the volleyball player as she teams up with Mocha Uson for a party-list group.

Earlier, Michele together with Mocha filed their certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) as they represent the “Mothers for Change” party list.

Many well-known personalities are trying their luck in the upcoming elections. One of their primary reasons for venturing into politics is to expand their platform in helping others.

Among those who recently filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) are Bobby Andrews, Angelu de Leon, Raffy Tulfo, Ejay Falcon, James Yap and to name a few.

On the other hand, the volleyball star joined the list of sports personalities seeking government posts in the 2022 national elections.

Apparently, her announcement to run with Mocha earned negative comments from the netizens.

Before she decided to enter politics, Michele Gumabao already made a name for herself in the world of volleyball.

From 2012 to 2013, she was a co-captain of the De La Salle University women’s volleyball team, the Lady Spikers. She’s also the camp director of the Alaska Volleyball Powercamp.

Her last volleyball stint was via Creamline Cool Smashers in March 2018 for the Premier Volleyball League alongside Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, and her former college teammate, Mel Gohing. The team won its first PVL championship in the Reinforced Conference in July 2018.

Aside from volleyball, Michele Gumabao also ventured into the world pageantry. In 2018, she was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Globe during the Binibining Pilipinas beauty contest.
