Before she decided to enter politics, Michele Gumabao already made a name for herself in the world of volleyball.

From 2012 to 2013, she was a co-captain of the De La Salle University women’s volleyball team, the Lady Spikers. She’s also the camp director of the Alaska Volleyball Powercamp.

Her last volleyball stint was via Creamline Cool Smashers in March 2018 for the Premier Volleyball League alongside Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, and her former college teammate, Mel Gohing. The team won its first PVL championship in the Reinforced Conference in July 2018.

Aside from volleyball, Michele Gumabao also ventured into the world pageantry. In 2018, she was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Globe during the Binibining Pilipinas beauty contest.
