On Thursday, singer Gary Valenciano revealed that he’s hospitalized because of dengue fever, and was currently recovering.
Gary, who was known as “Mr. Pure Energy”, had been confined for three days, according to his recent Instagram post.
“I just wanted to share the goodness of the Lord with all of you. I’ve been here in the hospital since Mon PM due to dengue fever. But He took care of me yet again and now I’m headed home. The Lord has left me speechless once again. I love You Jesus!” Gary said.
Gab Pangilinan, Ogie Alcasid, Iza Calzado, Julia Anne San Jose, Kitkat, and Bernadette Sembrano were among those who expressed their concern for Gary.

Just last February, the veteran entertainer had his fans worried after he shared that his sugar level was “dangerously high“. Thankfully, Gary’s sugar level returned to normal the next day, and he shared that he’s already feeling much better.
The Kapamilya singer had been battling Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes for most of his life. PUSH reported that Gary almost went into a coma in 2005 after having a hypoglycemic attack during a show.
Based in the report, Gary underwent an emergency open-heart surgery last May 2018 after a series of tests revealed that his left anterior descending artery was blocked due to diabetes.
A month later, in June, he underwent another surgery after doctors found that he had cancer in his right kidney. Gary was declared cancer-free last July 2019.
