Recently, he and Senator Bong Go attended an event in Biñan, Laguna wherein the action star made a speech.

His speech was posted on the Instagram account of fellow actor, Robin Padilla.

In his controversial speech, Philip slammed senators who are now undermining Bong Go.

“Noong manalo sila noong ibinoto niyo sila, lahat ng ipinangako nila, hindi nila nagawa,” he said.

Philip Salvador is close to Bong Go and the Duterte administration.

The actor was visible even when the long-time Duterte aide was still campaigning for his candidacy as a senator in the 2016 elections.

Meanwhile, the actor clarified that he’s not hitting Bong Revilla and Manny Pacquiao in his previous speech.

This became an issue because if Phillip was close to Bong Go now, he has been closed to Revilla and Pacquiao for a long time.

Philip said: “To clear up things lang, si Bong Revilla Jr., whatever he promised the people, ginawa niya.”

It was in 2016 when Bong Revilla was elected as a senator. His term will end on June 30, 2025.

Both were famous in the entertainment industry because of their respective action movies.

He also denied blasting Pacquiao in his speech.

“Si Pacquiao, hindi kasama dahil hindi naman siya tinulungan ni Senator Bong Go,” he said.

On Sunday, September 20, Manny Pacquiao, a boxer-turned-politician announced his presidential bid under the PDP-Laban party.

It is expected that Philip will become visible anew in the campaign sorties of Go and Duterte who are said to be running the positions as president and vice-president in the 2022 elections.
