Here are the winners in the MTV Video Music Awards 2021

Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo was among the big winner in the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2021.

This year’s award show hosted Doja Cat took place on Monday, September 13 (late Sunday, September 12 in the US), at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The three-hour event which was opened by Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Cyndi Lauper also featured performances from Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Olivia Rodrigo, Camilla Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, and Twenty One Pilots and to name a few.

In the 40th edition of MTV Music Video Awards 2021, American rock band Foo Fighters received the Global Icon Award.

Best Latin: Billie Eilish & ROSALÍA – “Lo Vas A Olvidar”

Best Rock: John Mayer – “Last Train Home”

Best Alternative: Machine Gun Kelly ft. blackbear – “my ex’s best friend”

Best Breakthrough Song: Claire Rosinkranz – “Backyard Boy”

Video for Good: Billie Eilish – “Your Power”
