Here’s what Julian Ongpin claimed about deep wounds on his arms
JULIAN ONGPIN- The son of billionaire Roberto Ongpin has been tagged as the person of interest in the “mysterious” death of artist Bree Jonson.
It was on Saturday, September 18 when the 30-year-old painter was found lifeless inside the bathroom of a hotel in La Union which she shared with her boyfriend Julian Ongpin.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead.
Julian, on the other hand, was arrested for possession of illegal drugs. He was later released after posting bail.
While the investigation about the mysterious death of Jonson is going on, a mugshot of Ongpin made a buzz online after his left arm was noticed with deep wounds that seem he got after being scratched.
But Ongpin told the police that he got the wounds after forcibly opening the door of a restroom to free his girlfriend who was alleged to be trapped. He then claimed that the nails from the broken door caused deep wounds on his arms as well as his back.
“‘Yun ang kwento niya, pumasok si Breana sa CR. Nagtaka siya na ang tagal, almost one hour so kinatok niya (pero) ‘di siya pinagbubuksan,” he said.
Police Regional Office 1 Brigadier General Emmanuel Peralta said in an interview with dzBB that Ongpin’s lawyer is also cooperating in the investigation.
Peralta noted that the police investigators were already finished with the autopsy on Monday night but they still need to pursue a histopathological examination to determine her cause of death.
Meanwhile, Sally Jonson, the mother of Bree, believed that her daughter “fought for her life” and she did not pass away by taking her own life.
