Biazon served as senator from June 30, 1992 – June 30, 1995, and June 30, 1998 – June 30, 2010.

Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

According to Biazon, he met Lacson in the Senate and saw the senator’s performance.

He stressed that Lacson has been exposed to not just local but also national problems.

He added that if the country wants to have a solution to serious problems such as hunger, children’s education, the country’s economy, peace and order situation, and even dispute in the West Philippine Sea, then go for Ping Lacson.

Lacson is said to be running the highest position in the country alongside his vice-presidentiable, Senator Tito Sotto.

In an interview via ANC, he vowed that he will end corruption if he’s elected as the next president in the coming 2022 elections.

According to him, he will be “unforgiving” to those who are committing acts of corruption.

Lacson has been considered one of the top candidates in the presidential elections alongside incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Senator-boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

However, the three are yet to confirm if they are running for the said position or not.

Meanwhile, the filing of certificates of candidacies will be from October 1 up to October 8, 2021, while the campaign period for nationally-elected positions will kick off on February 8, 2022, until May 7, 2022.
