According to DITO Telecommunity, it hit the milestone just this morning as the group continued to ramp up its presence across the Philippines.

DITO Telecommunity Chief Administrative Officer Adel Tamano earlier said that the company recorded about 20,000 new subscribers daily.
In a virtual briefing earlier this month, Tamano said that they found it very positive as it showed the appetite of the market for a new player. Tamano also said that they’re on pace to get around 5-6 million subscribers by the end of the year.
Moreover, the company said that it hit the 2-million subscriber mark last August 1 and planned to hit the 6-million subscriber mark by the end of the year.
While DITO Telecommunity was initially focusing on its mobile services, officials said that the company will conduct its user-friendly test for its broadband service, which was being eyed for commercial launch by the latter part of this year.
The DITO consortium was made up of Dennis Uy’s Udenna Corporation, Udenna’s subsidiary Chelsea Logistics Holdings Inc., and China Telecommunications Corporation.
