Previously, the Kapamilya host found herself in hot water following her interview with the former senator.

The interview which was posted on her YouTube channel Toni Gonzaga Studio was titled: “The Greatest Lesson Bongbong Marcos Learned from His Father.” At press time, it has already earned more than 1.9 million views.

In the interview, Toni asked Bongbong several questions related to his personal life, politics and etc.

Among the questions raised was how it’s like growing up in Malacanang and having a father who was a president

The TV host also asked the politician about the issues surrounding their family name and the hate that they are receiving until now.

Toni Gonzaga did ask him about his future political plans as well as the traits and lesson he learned from his father.

Apparently, her interview with the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos earned criticism. Some claimed that it was like giving the Marcoses a platform to “alter” what has transpired.

Among those who reacted is no less than broadcaster Ces Drilon. She was a former broadcast journalist of ABS-CBN but was retrenched following the network shutdown in 2020.

On Monday, Sept. 27, she went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she posted her reaction to the controversial interview.

Ces Drilon noted: “Am so sad to watch Toni Gonzaga interview BBM. Sorry delayed reaction. Ngayon ko lang nakita kasi I thought I should watch him. Yes he learned a lot from his father-HOW TO PLUNDER THE NATION.”

Meanwhile, following the controversial interview, Ateneo Martial Law Museum published an open letter addressed to Toni Gonzaga in relation to her interview with Bongbong Marcos.

They also challenged the actress to invite victims and surviving families during the Martial Law regime.
