Fumiya Sankai Enters List of ‘100 Respectable Japanese’

Ex-PBB housemate Fumiya Sankai among this year’s “100 Respectable Japanese”

FUMIYA SANKAI – The former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate is grateful to his Filipino fans after receiving his latest achievement.

The Japanese actor-vlogger with a Filipino heart was overjoyed after entering this year’s list of “100 Respectable Japanese” of Newsweek Japan.

In the said list, Fumiya line-up with famous and respected Japanese personalities including YouTubers, kabuki actors, and other well-known celebrities in Japan.

In an interview with Star Magic’s Inside News, he said: “Thank you so much. Maraming salamat. It’s like the most respectable Japanese in the world, 100. They’re Japanese but they influenced the outside world, parang ganoon.”

Fumiya Sankai is still in Japan and continues to make his own name as a vlogger. He hopes to return to the Philippines when the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

He said that he really misses his friends in showbiz and hopefully he will be given another chance to do projects with his fellow PBB housemates.

Fumiya rose to fame via his YouTube vlog, FumiShun Base- where he shares his learnings about the Filipino culture.

Then, he joined the ABS-CBN reality show, Pinoy Big Brother.

He became part of the season called “Otso” wherein his friend Yamyam Gucong- whom he considers as his “Spiritual Brother” won.

After his PBB stint, the “Konnichi-Wonder Vlogger ng Japan” who finished as the 5th big placer was given several teleseries and movies on the Kapamilya Network.

He starred in the sitcom, Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet, defunct television series Make It with You and the film, Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim.

He is also set to star in a Japanese film, which marked as his first time to play a character with Japanese as the main language.
