Recently, Pacquiao fought Ugas for the WBA Welterweight title.

Unfortunately, he lost to Ugas via a Unanimous decision (115-113, 116-112, 116-112) after 12 rounds of boxing.

Ugas started as an amateur after winning a gold medal at the 2005 World Championships and bronze at the 2008 Olympics.

In 2020, he is ranked as the world’s fifth-best active welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and seventh by The Ring magazine and BoxRec.

Despite his unexpected defeat with the Olympian, Manny Pacquiao still earned the respect of Filipinos particularly his fellow boxers.

One of which is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Eumir Marcial.

On Facebook, Marcial said that he has been looking up to the legendary boxer ever since he was young.

He also stressed that despite Manny Pacquiao’s defeat, he will always be a winner in his eyes.

His post was then flooded with reactions.

Meanwhile, Eumir Felix de los Santos Marcial made a name for himself in the world of boxing after securing a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships and bronze at the 2020 Summer Olympics, both in the middleweight division.

After his victorious tilt at the Olympics, he decided to turn to professional this year since becoming part of Pacquiao’s MP Promotions.

He is now looking forward to having his own title belt in his professional boxing career.
