Building in Quiapo ravaged by fire

A portion of a commercial building in Quiapo, Manila was hit by fire early Saturday morning, amid heavy rains in the area.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor of a commercial building at the corner of Carlos Palanca Street and Villalobos Street.

It is close to Quinta Market and Quiapo Church. Fortunately, the nearby buildings were not affected.

According to ABS-CBN News, Residents in the area have even heard explosions.

They also worked together, along with firefighters and fire volunteers to put out the fire. They placed a steel platform for firefighters to climb.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection report, the fire went up to the first alarm and before 2 a.m., it was declared under control.

The cause of the fire and how much was consumed by the catastrophe are still being determined.
