For the part of the police, at least 15,000 police officers will be deployed in order to secure the Chief Executive’s public address.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) had not monitored any threat to the SONA but PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar assured that all police officers were ready to respond to any eventuality.

Eleazar also urged the groups planning to stage mass actions to virtually conduct their activities in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease, especially since there’s already a confirmed local transmission of the Delta variant.

Meanwhile, PSG chief Brig Gen. Jesus Durante III had assured the nation that the Presidential Security Group wouldn’t let their guards down in securing President Duterte, his family, and the guests attending his public address.
