Boobay and her long-time boyfriend called it quits
The non-showbiz boyfriend of comedian-host Boobay has confirmed that they have separated after nearly a decade of relationship.
It was on July 4, 2021, when the Kapuso comedian and her boyfriend Kent Resquir, a physiotherapist based in Australia, made a buzz online.
On Instagram Story, Boobay- whose real name is Norman Balbuena posted a sad photo of himself with the caption “freedom” and “after 9 years.”
Through Instagram this Monday, July 5, Kent confirmed his separation with Boobay.
Kent reposted screenshots of written reports about their separation.
In the caption, he said that although they are already separated, they are still friends.
He wrote: “Yes, this is true. My messenger is flooding. Can’t answer each one of you. Don’t you worry guys, we are friends. Love love love.”
Prior to their separation, the two had a long-distance relationship for several years because Kent is in Melbourne, Australia and she is in the Philippines.
Boobay rose to fame as one of the hosts of The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS).
