Pokwang after receiving a warm welcome from GMA Network: “Thank you po sa tiwala po n’yo”
Newest Kapuso star Pokwang couldn’t help but turn emotional after receiving a warm welcome from GMA Network.
It was last Friday when the award-winning actress, television host, and comedian officially signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
Based on a report on GMA Network’s “24 Oras,” Pokwang burst into tears while thanking her new bosses after receiving a warm welcome from the network.
“Thank you po sa tiwala po n’yo, sa pagbukas po ninyo ng pintuan sa akin. Mapapagpatuloy ko po kung ano ‘yung gusto kong gawin bilang artista,” Pokwang said.
Pokwang added that it’s an honor for her to join the Kapuso family. She was also touched to watch the video messages from her new colleagues such as Camille Prats, Rayver Cruz, AiAi delas Alas, and Alden Richards.
According to her, she had no idea she’s this loved by the actors she had worked with before.

Felipe Yalong, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GMA Network, said that the Kapuso network was currently the home of the best female comedians in the Philippines.
“In addition to Pokwang, we have AiAi delas Alas and Eugene Domingo. Who knows, we can have the three paired in one possible sitcom,” Yalong said.
Meanwhile, Pokwang was set to appear in “Wish Ko Lang” and “Pepito Manaloto”. Pokwang was also excited to work with different Kapuso artists such as Barbie Forteza and Carla Abellana.
