Jairus Aquino on David Archuleta: “For sure, everyone was shocked with his revelation.”
JAIRUS AQUINO – The actor reacted to the coming out of fellow Mormon, American singer David Archuleta.
Earlier, the hitmaker who rose to fame via American Idol, announced that he is a member of the LGBTQUIA+ community.
Like Jairus, David is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In fact, David made a hiatus in his singing career to become a Mormon missionary in Chile from March 2012 to March 2014.
When asked about his reaction to the coming out of David Archuleta, Jairus Aquino said: “Nagulat ako like most of the people. For sure, everyone was shocked with his revelation, with his admission.”
“Pero wala ako sa posisyon para manghusga ng tao. God provided us with freedom to choose. Yung free will natin, ang Diyos din naman ang nag-provide,” he added.
“So, karapatan nating pumili ng mga bagay na gusto natin para sa sarili natin. Wala ako sa kahit anong posisyon para husgahan si David. It’s between him and God,” he continued.
“If David’s happy, kung masaya ang isang tao sa isang bagay na ginawa niya, e, di maging masaya rin tayo para sa kanya,” he stressed.
