MJ Lastimosa: “Ginaya niya si Catriona maglakad. Ganyan si Catriona, e!”
Former beauty queen Mary Jean”MJ” Lastimosa’s “ay Catriona” comment on Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Amanda Obdam caught the attention of netizens.
MJ couldn’t resist her inner pageant fan when she watched the Miss Universe 2020 preliminaries.
MJ was one of those who personally supported Rabiya Mateo in the preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2020 for the swimsuit and evening gown.
While the program was taking place, she went to the image-sharing site, Instagram live streaming.
One of the candidates who caught her attention was Miss Thailand Amanda Obdam.
According to her, Amanda imitated the famous walk and turns of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
“Ginaya niya si Catriona maglakad. Ganyan si Catriona, e!” she said at one point.
On Twitter, MJ responded to several tweets regarding her comments on Miss Thailand.
A netizen tweeted: “Bakla ka! Nakita ko videos at mga sinasabi mo kay Manding. Pag ikaw na-bash. Hahahaha. Nagkalat ka masyado, baklang to. Haha. Pero support kita. Hahahahahaha. Labyu. Ingat ka dyan. Todo support na bukas, buga mo na lahat. Haha.”
MJ said that she also has commented on other candidates, not just Amanda.
In another tweet, MJ clarified that she is just stating her observation.
Moreover, MJ also admitted that even she also tried to imitate Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela who has been crowned Miss Universe in 2008.
