Here’s the poem of Angel Locsin as ABS-CBN marks first anniversary after shutdown
ABS-CBN SHUTDOWN – Angel Locsin wrote a poem to commemorate the first anniversary of the closure of Kapamilya Network.
Angel was among those who have been vocal upon defending ABS-CBN amid network franchise bout.
On Thursday, May 6, 2021, she took to Instagram wherein she posted several photos and screenshots by the time the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a Cease and Desist Order (CDO) against ABS-CBN.
In the caption, Angel said that even though one year had passed, the pain she felt after the shutdown still lingers on.

“Isang taon na ang lumipas.
Pero ang sakit ay hindi lilipas.
Hirap man,
pero kailangan pa ring bumangon.
Para sa tao.
Hindi man maintindihan ng iba ang nasa puso,
Patuloy pa rin sa pagbangon.
Hindi susuko at patuloy na lumalaban.
Dahil para sa tao.
Laging para sa tao.

In the comments section, a follower of Angel asked about how she is feeling right now because it seems that the past few months have been traumatic for those affected.
The netizen said: “Angel, I hope you’re ok, it’s been a traumatizing months”
To which she replied: “The past few months is hard and I hurt. I’m slowly healing. Salamat po.”
