Barangay Holy Spirit desk officer Benjamin Berriber confirmed the passing of Rolando dela Cruz, 67, of Isadora St. Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City, after he got fainted while queuing in the community pantry set up by Angel.

The Kapamilya actress opened a community pantry which will be available from April 23-25 as part of her 36th birthday celebration.

According to Berriber, it was exactly 8:37 a.m. on Friday, April 23, when Dela Cruz fainted. He was immediately rushed to East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City but was declared dead on arrival.

Berriber said most of those who lined up at Angel Locsin’s community pantry were residents of depressed areas of Barangay Holy Spirit.

The Quezon City Task Force, MMDA, and barangay officials are said to be on guard to ensure the order and safety of all.

The queue was said to be three kilometers long to get food from Angel’s community pantry.

As expected, the community pantry was crowded with people, some are not wearing face masks and face shields.

Angel Locsin initially urged the people to come back tomorrow because only up to three hundred people will be given grocery items.

Barangay officials and the Quezon City Police had a hard time reprimanding the people who rushed to the pantry that looked like fans’ day.
