In a report on GMA News Online, Jenifer Fosana — the eldest child of Rolando dela Cruz — said that they didn’t know that her father was going to the community pantry set up by actress Angel Locsin, who celebrated her birthday Friday.

According to her, her father didn’t tell them where to go and they didn’t know where her father went at that time. She added that they wouldn’t allow him to go out because they knew in instances like those there were many people.

Jenifer also said that Angel had reached out to them and promised that she would pay for everything and gave her apologies.

In a report on ABS-CBN News, Jenifer said that she couldn’t believe what happened to her father.

Jenifer shared that her father left their house at around 6:00 in the morning and they thought her father would just buy his balut products. According to her, their father liked to line up with those who give assistance but they didn’t allow him to go out because he’s a senior citizen.

Bibili lang siya ng balut, hindi na nakabalik. ‘Yun pala pumila doon tapos nalaman namin mga 9:30, inatake daw, ay nahimatay daw maya-maya… Nabalitaan namin inatake daw, patay na daw,” Jenifer said.
