Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said on Monday that President Rodrigo Duterte does not need to publicize that he is doing his job.
This was the response of the presidential spokesman on queries following the postponement of Duterte’s scheduled public address last week.
Senator Bong Go then released photos of the president busy with lots of paperwork.
The longtime aide of President Duterte also shared photos and videos of him while jogging on the grounds of the Malacañang Palace.
“Ang Presidente po natin, 24/7 ang kanyang nasa isip ay ang bayan po. Hindi kailangan ipangalandakan ni Presidente na siya ay naninilbihan,” he said.
However, President Duterte is on top of the situation according to Roque.
“The President made the decisions he needed to make, such as the quarantine classification in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. He has supervision on the vaccination program, to ensure its rollout as soon as possible. Hindi kailangan magpakita ng patunay na siya ay nagtatrabaho. Hindi ganun ang istilo niya na ipagyabang sa tao na siya ay nagtatrabaho,” Roque explained.
