Miss Universe took to social media to greet the 1969 titleholder, Gloria Diaz, on her 70th birthday.
The actress-beauty queen rose to fame after being crowned Miss Universe 1969, becoming the first Filipina to hold the Miss Universe title.
Recently, Miss Universe went to Facebook wherein it posted a throwback video during the pageant stint of Gloria Diaz.

Meanwhile, she was studying college when scouted by a pageant aficionado and was convinced to join the sixth edition of Binibining Pilipinas.
Because of her looks and, more importantly, her wit, she did not fail to captivate the audience, bringing home the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1969 title at 18 years old.
After her reign as Miss Universe, she ventured into acting and in 1975, she starred as Isabel in the critically acclaimed drama “Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa. “
Later that year, she bagged a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role at FAMAS Awards.
Gloria Diaz is separated from businessman Gabriel “Bong” Daza III, with whom she has two daughters, Isabelle and Ava, and one son, Raphael.
