According to Jason Paul Laxamana, he had mild symptoms and thought that he’ll recover very soon.

“But then I noticed something happening inside my chest. It was getting hard to breath,” he said.

“Inhaling deeply was becoming challenging, as it either triggered an itch in the chest, resulting in coughing; or no matter how deep I inhaled, I didn’t feel I was getting enough air in my lungs,” he continued.

“Must be the cytokine storm I kept reading in covid-related articles,” he added.

Cytokine storm refers to the body’s intense immune response in which instead of helping the movement of cytokines or cell agents to fight infection or virus it attacks the cells and tissues themselves.

Director Jason Paul shared that he’s very worried about the possibility that he might die due to COVID-19 until his condition stabilized.
