Janno Gibbs as German Moreno in Yorme
JANNO GIBBS – The actor/singer/host will portray the role of late master showman German Moreno in the biopic entitled “Yorme” about Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
According to director Joven Tan, “Janno was teary-eyed when he was informed he will play Kuya Germs.” Janno had to shave his mustache for his role.
The singer-host has started taping the movie last week. Xian Lim will play the lead role in the biopic.
Meanwhile, Federico Moreno- son of Kuya Germs, aired his side after learning Janno Gibbs will play their father’s character.
“Natutuwa ako na isang malapit din sa puso niya ang napili. Nag-umpisa din si Janno sa ‘That’s Entertainment,'” he said.
Tan on the other hand said: “I am also glad that Janno and other artists mentored by Kuya Germs agreed to be in the movie. This is also our way of paying tribute and giving respect to him.”
In the said biopic, Janno Gibbs will perform two song and dance numbers.
Aside from Janno, Yorme will also feature cameo appearances of “That’s Entertainment” alumni such as Jestoni Alarcon, Tina Paner, Ramon Christopher and to name a few.
It is slated to premiere under Viva Entertainment and Saranggola Productions this June 2021.
