COVID-19 survivor Jason Paul Laxamana shares his experience
JASON PAUL LAXAMANA – The award-winning director took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he narrated his experience with COVID-19.
It was on March 17 when he learned that he tested positive for the dreaded virus.
According to Jason Paul Laxamana, he had mild symptoms and thought that he’ll recover very soon.
“But then I noticed something happening inside my chest. It was getting hard to breath,” he said.
“Inhaling deeply was becoming challenging, as it either triggered an itch in the chest, resulting in coughing; or no matter how deep I inhaled, I didn’t feel I was getting enough air in my lungs,” he continued.
“Must be the cytokine storm I kept reading in covid-related articles,” he added.
Cytokine storm refers to the body’s intense immune response in which instead of helping the movement of cytokines or cell agents to fight infection or virus it attacks the cells and tissues themselves.
Director Jason Paul shared that he’s very worried about the possibility that he might die due to COVID-19 until his condition stabilized.
Six days since he tested positive for COVID-19, Direk Jason Paul is said to be feeling better now.
Jason Paul Laxamana is the director of the films Between Maybes (2019), Just A Stranger (2019), 100 Tula Para kay Stella (2017).
