Gretchen Ho Reacts to Old Video of Katherine Ryan Who Said Filipino Children are Test Subjects

GRETCHEN HO – The volleyball-turned-host took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she expressed her frustration over an old video clip of Katherine Ryan wherein the latter mentioned that Filipino children are used as test subjects.

Earlier, a certain Twitter user with handle name @sailorjinniee shared an old clip of Katherine Ryan wherein she spoke of Filipino children in a joke for the British stand-up comedy show “Mock the Week,” aired June 13, 2013.

Gretchen Ho, who’s not amused by her statement reposted the tweet with the caption: “What kind of person would make this a joke?!!! Not funny. #StopAsianHate.”

Meanwhile, racism or racial discrimination has been a hot topic lately following a series of assaults involving Asian/Asian-American citizens.

On Tuesday, a white gunman fatally shot eight people, including six Asian women, in a series of killings at three massage parlors in the Atlanta area.

The shootings are the latest in a series of violent incidents against Asian Americans across the country, including the January assault and killing of 84-year-old Vicha Ratanapakdee in San Francisco.
