CLAIRE DELA FUENTE – OPM icon Eva Eugenio took to social media wherein she paid a tribute to fellow Jukebox Queen.

Claire died on Tuesday, March 30 due to cardiac arrest.

Many expressed their sadness following the death of the notable singer.

Among those was her friend Eva Eugenio who took to social media to post a tribute.

“I will truly miss you, my dear friend. I will miss all our chikahan, laitan, tawanan at kantahan,” she said.

In the said post, Eva thanked Claire for being a good friend to her in their almost four decades of friendship.

“Thank you for being a good friend, and a good godmother to my daughter. Rest in peace kumare,” she said.

“Jukebox Queens will not be complete without (you)” she added.

Aside from Claire and Eva, one of the members of the Jukebox Queens is singer Imelda Papin.

Claire Dela Fuente rose to fame in the 70s.

She was dubbed as “Asia’s sweetest voice” and “the Karen Carpenter of the Philippines.”

She popularized some of the well-known OPM hits such as “Sayang” and “Nakaw na Pag-ibig.”
