Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo and Kapuso actor Alden Richards were all set to star in their upcoming movie “A Moment to Remember”.
This, after three of the country’s film production giants – Viva Films, APT Entertainment, and GMA Pictures – sealed their partnership in order to co-produce the Philippine adaptation of the Japanese drama “Pure Soul” from which the hit Korean film “A Moment to Remember” was also adapted.

After the contract signing held last March 2, Alden said that it’s his first remake and there’s always a comparison, adding that what they wanted as actors was to do their own take on how they understood the role.
“Ang ganda ng material, sobra. Kung babalik na ‘yung cinemas, it’s really for it. Mas dama mo ‘yung istorya,” Alden said.
According to Bea, she’s excited that they can work this time as they’re very happy that they injected Filipino culture into the script. She also said that they’re working around the parameters of what Korea wanted them to do in order to maintain and respect the original form of the said movie.
In addition, Bea said that it’s going to be “a little different from the original title” but they’ll make sure that it’s going to be a good one and it’s going to be “extra challenging” and “very inspiring” as well.

The said film followed the journey of a young couple whose relationship would be put to the test when the woman was diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
It’s a story that would test how much love could withstand and show how it could triumph in the midst of fear, pain, denial, and acceptance.
