Stepfather of Aiko Melendez dies
Dan Castañeda, the stepfather of Kapuso actress Aiko Melendez has passed away.
On Instagram, Aiko shared some photos of her alongside her stepfather
“Dad @dancas123. You will always be my one and only Daddy! Thank you for always being here for me and my kids… You will be missed … ‘Till we meet again,” she wrote as the accompanying caption.
In another Instagram post, Aiko asked her father for help to get through what she is going through now.
“Dad @dancas123 How? Help me Dad. Pause.””
Meanwhile, some artists poured their condolences on Aiko following the news that her stepfather had passed away.
“My deepest condolences @aikomelendez. Mahigpit na yakap Sis,” Katrina Halili said.
“Hugging you now gf. Condolence again,” Carmina Villaroel noted.
Regine Angeles on the other hand commented: “So sorry for your loss, Ate. May he rest in peace.”
Dimples Romana said: “Condolences po ate.””
“So sorry to hear this. My sincerest condolences,” Coney Reyes noted.
Aiko did not say the reason for her father’s death. She has a brother with her stepdad named Angelo.
Aiko’s biological dad, actor Jimi Jimenez, passed away in 1997.
