Senator Sherwin Gatchalian’s credit card has been hacked by a hacker ordering P1 million worth of food from a popular food delivery service.

On Wednesday, the senator took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he shared that four consecutive transactions were made in just an hour using his credit card.

“My credit card has just been hacked! May nag order ng P1M worth of food sa Food Panda in less than an hour. Ano yan, lauriat para sa buong barangay???” he noted.

In the comment section, the senator said: “The hacker managed to change my registered phone number so he got the OTPs (one-time PIN). He knew what he was doing. I just don’t know how he will eat a million worth of food.”

Based on the photo attached to his tweet, at least four transactions were made on Tuesday, January 5 at exactly 4:47 p.m. to 5:49 p.m.

In the first transaction, it cost over P96,000 while more than P323,000 for the second transaction.

On the other hand, the third transaction cost more than P356,000 while the fourth transaction cost over P300,000.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is yet to issue further details about the incident.
