MAGIKLAND – The popular theme park located in Silay City, Negros Occidental closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier, Mr. Reynaldo P. Bantug, the President and CEO of Magikland, Aton Land & Leisure Inc., announced via an official statement that one of the park ride attendants has tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient is asymptomatic and currently under isolation.

Based on the contact tracing conducted, it shows that the employee was exposed to the virus outside the premises of Magikland.

Mr. Bantug said that no guests were exposed to the patient since the employee came in contact with other staff of Magikand during non-operating days.

Staff members exposed to the patient are required to undergo swab test as well as complete the contact tracing.

In this regard, the management of Magikland has decided to close the theme park beginning today December 11 until December 13.

Employees may return to their work when the swab tests have been known and they are declared clear from coronavirus infection.
