Jake Zyrus to fiancé: “Gihigugma ko ikaw”
Jake Zyrus once again expressed his love for his fiancé Shyre Aquino.
On Instagram, December 10, the 28-year-old transman singer posted a photo of him along with Shyre.
It is accompanied by the caption in local dialect: “Gihigugma ko ikaw (I love you).”
To which his girlfriend responded: “Gihigugma pud tika (I love you too).”
Shyre was introduced by Jake Zyrus to the public via an Instagram post in August 2017.
According to the singer who’s formerly known as Charice Pempengco, his girlfriend who’s a nurse played a big part in making him come out as a transgender man.
Jake confirmed that he and Shyre were engaged in November 2018.
By that time, the two were already living under the same roof.
Jake did not provide details on the date of their engagement. He said he wanted to make their love life private no matter what.
In another interview, Jake said that Shyre was “the one” for him.
When asked if they are willing to undergo in-vitro vertilization (IVF) to have children of their own, he said:
“In all honesty, wala pa kami doon. Kumbaga, parehong desisyon namin… We always talk about that kasi isa sa pinakaimportante sa relationship, we always have to be open with each other.”
