Inspiring Photos of Honest Kid Who Returned Lost Pouch to Respective Owner Went Viral
An honest kid earned praises and admiration from the netizens after returning lost pouch with P32,000 cash to the respective owner.
The Facebook page “PNP Ifugao Alfonso Lista” has shared the photos of an honest kid named Gernan Jay Garcia who returned a lost pouch containing cash. The photos garnered various reactions from the social media users.
Gernan Jay Garcia, a Grade 4 student of Alfonso Lista Central School has turned over the lost pouch he found to the Alfonso Lista Municipal Police Station. He found the pouch on his way home.
The pouch is reportedly containing pertinent bank documents, ID Cards and money amount P32, 000. He did not hesitate to surrender the pouch or took some cash from the pouch thinking that the owner really needs it.
Eventually, the owner appeared at the police station and claimed the pouch with cash and documents after presenting proof of its identity. The young boy proves that the faith in humanity remains alive.

On the evening of December 21, 2020, Gernan Jay Garcia, 9 years old, Grade 4 at Alfonso Lista Central School surrendered the items he found on his way home. The black pouch he found contained pertinent bank documents, ID Cards and cash amounting to Thirty-Two Thousand Pesos (Php 32, 000.00).
On December 22, 2020, the owner appeared at the office to claim it upon presenting proof of identity. The items found by Gernan was turned over to the owner. He thanked the honest kid and rewarded him with some cash.
The owner of the items found, and Alfonso Lista Municipal Police Station would like to thank Gernan for his Honesty and integrity, and for the parents who molded a great kid. Gernan, you are worthy of emulation by anyone. Thank you for the trust you bestowed upon us. Mabuhay ka!”
