Female Swindler Lolita Cantuba Nabbed After Stealing About P200M From 300 Airline Employees

A female swindler has been arrested after stealing around P200 million from 300 workers of an airline company.

A 55-year-old woman Lolita Cantuba has been arrested by the personnel of the National Bureau of Investigation-Special Action Unit for running away with P200 million she stole from 300 airline employees.

Cantuba convinced the airline employees to invest in a realty business wherein their cash could earn quickly.  Most victims have invested their life savings to the business without expecting that it was just a scam.

Most victims are pilots, cabin crew, stewardess, steward, ground steward, and other airline crews. The suspect has a pending bouncing cheque case and would face syndicated estafa because of her illegal activities.

“Ang mga ito ay mga piloto, cabin crew, mga stewardess, steward, ground steward, mga emmpleyado ng malaking airline company. ‘Yung members naman na makakahikayat din ng additional investor ay merong 50 percent na komisyon,” NBI chief Atty. Jun Donggalo said.

The female swindler denied that she had spent the money in Casino and declined the claims that she offered build and sell realty state to the victim. Cantuba also claims that she only received P6 million.
