The giant smartphone developers Xiaomi and Samsung would release Xiaomi Mi 11 and Samsung Galaxy S21 without chargers. Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun said that Mi 11 will be available in a thinner and lighter package.
Meanwhile, the South Korean tech giant Samsung confirmed that the company would release Galaxy S21 without a charger following the trend. The companies explained that loyal brand users can reuse their old charger while newbies can buy chargers at the store like any other accessories.
The Asian smartphone firms aims to limit the number or unused chargers piling up, which could contribute to the environmental pollution and improper garbage disposal. It could also help both brands and users to save money.
