Aiko Melendez: “I started to feel weak and wala na lasa”
Actress Aiko Melendez got panicked after she thought of having COVID-19 when she suffered itchiness on her throat and taste loss.
According to her, it was during the lock-in taping of the afternoon drama series, Prima Donnas last November 27 when she started not feeling well.
“I started to feel the itch sa throat ko and around 10 p.m. I had to rush to unit 2 Direk Aya [Topacio] to finish my remaining scenes which I was required to shout sa scene,” she said.
“I was packed up at 11:30 to be exact and I started to feel sick and have colds from coming in an aircon room ta’s init,” she added.
On Saturday, at around 2 pm, she was having her lunch when she started to feel weak anew and this time lost her sense of taste with an unbearable throat condition.
Aiko Melendez spoke to her executive producer about her condition and eventually, medics came to take her temperature and blood pressure- both turned out normal.
Her throat continues to become irritated and she could no longer taste the viand they had on the set.
Aiko Melendez was then rushed to Assumption Hospital for swab testing.
Her results turned out negative but apparently, Aiko Melendez was diagnosed with tonsilitis.
