The SSS began releasing last month the regular pensions through the DBP’s disbursement facility through the Philippine Electronic Fund Transfer System and Operations Network (PESONet) and Development Bank of the Philippines-accredited remittance transfer companies (RTCs) or cash payout outlets (CPOs).
In a report on GMA News Online, PESONet was launched last November 2017 and was an electronic fund transfer payments system that enabled individuals to digitally transfer funds to any bank in the network, and would be received immediately upon clearing or within the same banking day.
Meanwhile, SSS announced in a previous advisory that it would open an assistance package for members and pensioners in areas placed under a state of calamity due to series of typhoons starting November 27, 2020.
